Explanation of Terms & SUSE Features: KDE Control Center

KDE Control CenterThe KDE Control Center is where you are able to control many of the applications controlled by KDEKDE (nearly everything on most SUSE configurations). There is a lot of overlap between this tool, YaST, and the Configure Desktop tool.

The Control Center can be opened through the KMenu (the Linux version of Window's "Start" menu).

Through the Control Center you can manage user accounts, install new fonts, install themes, screensavers, and much more. It is a good idea to spend a few minutes exploring and becoming familiar with this tool.
