 Explanation of Terms & SUSE Features: GNOME

GNOME LogoGNOME stands for "Gnu Network Object Model Environment" and is one of the two most common desktop environments for Linux, the other being KDE.

GNOME is actually a group of programs that work together and use a similar interface for users. It is what users see, and is basically the user interface for a computer using a GNOME desktop.
